I only work on one cake at a time to ensure that it receives my full care and attention. The more notice you can give me the better chance I can guarantee your date for you.
All cakes are bespoke and made to order. I can either design something new or you can choose a design from my portfolio. If you decide to choose a design from my portfolio you can, change colours, flowers and models to compliment any theme that you may be having at your celebration.
I ask for at least 3 months notice when ordering wedding cakes, and 3 weeks for all other celebrations. Depending on my workload I may be able to accept orders at shorter notice, so please do ask!
To confirm an order, a non-refundable deposit is required. The balance for wedding cakes is due 3 weeks before the delivery or collection of the cake. I accept payment by cash, cheque, and paypal.
Cake design and alterations can be made up to but no later than 1 month before collection/delivery. If the alteration affects the cost then your balance will be adjusted accordingly.
Collection/Delivery to the local area, within 10 miles is free, this includes free set up of the cake. Delivery charges for other destinations are available on request. All cakes can be collected but please note that If the cake is collected, the full responsibility for the safety of the cake is with the yourselves and The Cake Bank will not accept responsibility for any damage to the cake that may occur after it has left our premises.
Allergies and Special Dietary Requirements
Nuts: Our fruitcakes are the only cakes that contain nuts as an ingredient, but please be aware that all cakes are made in a kitchen where nuts have been present, and I cannot guarantee that the ingredients that I use are not contaminated at source. My fruitcakes are also made with brandy, but I can also make them alcohol free if required.
